NATIVE AMERICAN OUTREACH

Fundraising for the mission trip to the Navajo Indian Reservation in Nageezi, New Mexico July 26^th – August 2^nd is almost finished. We have raised $18,236.85 with the sale of church calendars, 2 dinners, 2 tag sales, a silent auction, ice cream social, Honey Baked Ham sale, Yankee Candle sale, deposits from our participants, and donations. We also continue with our ongoing fundraiser - can and Bottle return, cell phone recycling, ink cartridge recycling, and the penny jug. We have not been told how much money we made on the Birdies for Charity fundraiser. Our expenses are also higher this time due to the fact that we could not get airfare for less than $472.00. We are also still waiting to hear if UPS will ship the materials we need for VBS and some tools for our work projects. If you would like to make a donation, you can send it to the church office or put it in the offering plate. Checks can be written to Stratford Baptist Church Native American Outreach.

We will be going to the reservation to put on a Vacation Bible School during the week, and in the afternoons and evenings work on various work projects.

Our next planning meeting will be on Sunday, July 13^th after church.
