Just a note of thanks to ALL who volunteered their time to help with Vacation Bible School this year. Despite the heat, we had a very successful week with an exciting theme, SonQuest Rainforest, and an average attendance of 119 children and 66 staff every day. The children raised $698.10 (penny collection) for school supplies for a school/church in Haiti, and we were able to put together 65 complete boxes for Operation Christmas Child. Many of you who weren’t able to help out during the week donated items, or spent time in preparatory work for crafts, or painting of the backdrop and decorations, and moving furniture for setup and clean up of VBS. We appreciate all of your efforts and are once again reminded that if we work together as a team, we can accomplish great things for the Lord!
